The expansive bar and lounge is ideal for casual cocktails and a la carte bites, while the romantic dining room creates the perfect ambiance for an exceptional foodie experience featuring sophisticated comfort food.
The Wait Assistant is responsible to provide courteous and efficient food and beverage service to guests at a fine dining restaurant in accordance with Cafe and Bar Lurcat standards. This is primarily done by giving assistance to service staff that directly interacts with the guests. This position is responsible for preparing service stations, pouring beverages, clearing and resetting tables between courses and guests, keeping service stations cleaned and stocked and generally providing back-up to the Server.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Displays genuine concern about the guest’s satisfaction and the smooth operation of the restaurant and makes every effort to achieve that priority.
2. In the dining room whenever possible, ready to assist the server in responding to guest needs.
3. Occasionally interact with customers to handle any impromptu requests (question on parking, directions to restroom, etc.)
4. Works as a team member for the betterment of the entire restaurant, treating others with respect.
5. Is always ready to help run food or assist others when able and prioritizes tasks efficiently.
6. Assist the server by refilling beverages and water as needed.
7. Clears and re-sets tables according to specified procedures.
8. Inspects all china, glass, flatware, service wares and linens for cleanliness before using.
9. Keeps table clean and clear of unnecessary items throughout the meal.
10. Perform side-work assigned to maintain the highest degree of order (“everything in its place”.)
11. Shows interest in quality food, beverage and professional service standards.
12. Presents self well, realizes that personal appearance and cleanliness of surroundings reflect attitude. Takes pride in work demeanor, appearance and professionalism.
13. Conscientiously controls waste and cost.
14. Adheres to the restaurants standards and house policies.
15. Develops and maintains trust and confidence of guests and co-workers, cooperates with all employees.
16. Observant and diligent about hygiene, sanitation and working safely, reports all concerns to manager.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
