Title: Assistant Manager Full Time
Reports To: Store Manager
Summary Of Position:
Flexibility with schedule in this position is very important. The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Manager, and is responsible for leading all team members in the efficient and profitable operation of Cafe Andreini. Oversee the duties performed by team members on a daily basis, and serve as floater when necessary. Providing the highest level of guest service, including the knowledge of coffee. Maintaining high store standards and conditions as well as fostering a positive environment for customers and staff alike.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Operate the POS system for order processing and cash handling accurately.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate change is given.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Uphold the café's values by promoting a positive environment for both customers and staff.
- Assist management to ensure each team member has received proper training to perform as a barista, cashier or deli position effectively.
- Assist management with daily and weekly product orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
