About Us:
L’Apero is Café Bastille’s new Mediterranean tapas concept located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, offering vibrant shared plates, craft cocktails, and unbeatable water views. Inspired by the coastal elegance and laid-back energy of Mediterranean evenings, L’Apero blends culinary sophistication with the charm of casual dining.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen, drive consistency, and bring the L’Apero experience to life.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations for our Mediterranean tapas concept
- Lead, train, and inspire the back-of-house team to ensure excellence in food quality and presentation
- Manage food cost, prep systems, and inventory with a proactive, organized approach
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate on seasonal menu development and LTOs
- Ensure consistent execution of tapas dishes that are flavorful, beautiful, and made to share
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef
- Strong background in Mediterranean or coastal cuisine preferred
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and delivering memorable guest experiences
