Cafe Colucci began in 1991 as a small family run cafe. We have operated as a family unit since its inception, and our goal has remained the same: to serve and educate our community about the wonders and beauty of East African cuisine. In September of 2022, we moved to our new, much larger location on San Pablo Avenue in Oakland. In addition to indoor and outdoor dining space, the building holds an Ethiopian spice shop, fueled by Brundo Spice Company, our sister company. Additionally, we have a full bar, and are currently in the process of building out our cocktail program. We are looking for experienced and hard-working professionals to join our team as we continue to grow.

SERVER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to afternoon and evening shifts (ranges from 2pm-11pm)
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant service experience, bar experience and some knowledge of mixology is preferred
• POS Knowledge
• Excellent communication skills with management, cooks, and fellow team members.
• Ability to work in a team environment, with great enthusiasm and energy.
• Ability to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Guest service oriented and possesses commitment to quality service.
• Have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVERS:

• Constant walking and standing.
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
• Regularly required to use hands and frequent washing of hands.
• Maintain a clean and polished look, and clean hygiene.
