Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can showcase your barista skills while delivering top-notch service to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive to work on time (15 minutes early) and in uniform, ready to work. The uniform consists of a clean t-shirt, non-slip kitchen shoes, apron, folded work towels, black sharpie pen, and a hair restraint of your choosing (hat).
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following company recipes.
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash and card transactions using POS systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times, ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness.
- Assist in food preparation and handling as needed, properly cooking and preparing all menu items to specifications.
- Check inventory stocking levels in the mornings.
- Orchestrate the daily prep list, closing list, and complete daily food preparation items in a timely manner.
- Greet and acknowledge guests within 30 seconds of their arrival at the counter.
- Ensure ticket times are kept to a minimum (maximum 5 minutes for drinks and 10 minutes for food).
- Show the ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful situations and provide sensible solutions when problems and issues arise.
- Show care for the espresso machine and other kitchen equipment used behind the bar and take pride in keeping it clean.
- Stay busy and productive, maintaining a sense of urgency. During slow times, clean tables and seating inside/outside the dining space.
- Report food waste to management and notify the team group chat of any service needed for broken or damaged equipment or tools, as well as any food shortages.
- Be proactive in finding solutions to issues related to the kitchen/cafe.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
