Barista/Team Member

Job Overview

As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve engaging with customers, preparing drinks, and ensuring that all food service standards are met. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
• Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately to process transactions.
• Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Handle food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
• Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for handling cash register operations and retail math calculations.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a team setting.
• A genuine passion for helping others and providing excellent customer service.
