Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is beneficial.
- Experience with heavy lifting and handling various types of cargo is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with clients during deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications for operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment are advantageous.
