Barista/Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Barista to join our team in a vibrant Asian fusion café environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality asian coffee/tea drinks and also assembling ice cream and cashiering providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. This role requires a blend of culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Since it's in the mall food court expect to see many customers and be able to move efficiently and provide high quality service. This is a TIPPED job so your customer service and attitude will help increase your pay. This job is going to be based in the Great Lakes Mall food court.

Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately, utilizing retail math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
- Assist with food preparation, ice cream assembly and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. The friendlier you are the more money you make :)
- Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed.
- Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling and service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in the café or food service industry is preferred.
- Inventory management.
- Friendly customer service attitude and language.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion to craft drink and willingness to learn about different brewing methods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
