What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Cafe Stella?

Café Stella, an iconic French bistro nestled in the heart of Silver Lake, Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced and passionate Breakfast Line Cook to join our culinary team. Known for our classic French cuisine, intimate ambiance, and dedication to delivering an exceptional dining experience, Café Stella is looking for a skilled cook to take charge of breakfast service and ensure high-quality execution of our morning menu.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch menu items in accordance with Café Stella’s recipes and presentation standards.

Work efficiently across various breakfast stations, including egg dishes, griddle, and pastry preparation.

Ensure consistency in plating, taste, and execution of breakfast and brunch offerings.

Maintain a well-organized and clean workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Assist with inventory management, monitoring stock levels, and reporting shortages.

Work under pressure during peak morning hours to deliver dishes in a timely manner.

Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth morning service.

Support prep work for lunch and dinner services as needed.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Breakfast Line Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Strong understanding of breakfast cooking techniques, including eggs, pastries, and griddle work.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes.

Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Experience in French cuisine or working in a French bistro is highly preferred.

Culinary school education is a plus, but not required.
