Who You Are
The Accounts Receivable Deductions Specialist supports Café Valley by researching and analyzing customer discrepancies. ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities What You'll Do
Responsible for tracking & trending all customer deductionsCollaborates with Accounts Receivable Specialist in managing Accounts Receivable inboxCollaborate with sales, customer service and other departments to address and resolve customer discrepanciesAssists with processing customer EDI invoicesPublish / upload all payments received to DDX publisherResearch deductions, short payments, and obtain supporting backup through various customer portals, brokers and / or directly through customersPrepare backup for all customer deductions and obtain required approvals to clear. Follow-up on all pending deduction approvalsFile claims and disputes or deductions deemed invalid, unauthorized, or wrongly charged to Café Valley. Follow-up on outstanding claims and disputes through various customer portals and / or via sales team, brokers, or directly with the customerEnsure claims and disputes are processed timely and accuratelyCommunicate effectively with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment terms, and account inquiries. Continue collection efforts until outstanding balances are satisfiedCrosstrain on all Accounts Receivable Specialist job functions to provide backup assistanceAssist with Ad Hoc projects as neededPerform all related duties as required; related duties may not be specifically listed but are within the general occupational responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s classification of workRequired Skills
What You Need to Be Successful
Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years of accounts receivable experienceExcellent data entry skills and ability to navigate multiple online portalsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to demonstrate sense of urgency when meeting deadlinesCafe Valley is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to diversity in the workplace.
