Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing the cash register.
- Assist in food preparation and ensure that food items are presented attractively.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.
- Uphold health and safety standards in food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive experiences for guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
