SUMMARY
The Merchandising Supervisor's primary responsibility is to provide leadership and supervision of the Merchandising team. The Merchandising Supervisor should possess the skills to lead, motivate, guide, and train the members of the Merchandising team. This position requires accomplished leadership toward achieving and exemplifying the standards and principles of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Represents company in a professional manner and provides excellent customer service.

Manages merchandising department within approved budgets

Ensure the accountability of the merchandising team by conducting in market ride-withs.

Manage the Merchandising team in accordance with all policy and procedures outlined in company handbooks.

Effectively manage the Merchandisers hours / overtime to comply with all state / federal laws.

Ensure Merchandisers effectively work and communicate with the sales team, delivery department, and specific store personnel to ensure account level service expectations are met and or exceeded.

Train, develop and uphold all merchandising established standards and expectations related to back stock management, cold box/warm shelf stocking, display standards, rotation, and merchandising standards.

Recruit and maintain a “Best in Class” staff that ensures established service expectations utilizing all resources available.

Ensure that daily merchandising schedules are communicated to direct reports, plus that each merchandiser’s daily account call list is always adhered to.

Communicate and resolve any customer complaints in conjunction with Sales team, Merchandising team, and/or delivery team in a timely manner to ensure account level service standards.

Management and Administrative duties include PTO (Personal Time Off), performance appraisals and coaching.

Establish and maintain relationships with the delivery department and sales department to exemplify and foster teamwork and cooperation.

Maintain safe driving record and comply with company driving point policy.

Attending all scheduled meetings and company functions as required.

Adhere to the Company dress code and be properly groomed.

Obey all Federal, State, and local laws.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent form two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Repetitive, routine, or semi-routine duties involving the use of numerous established clerical, statistical, and/or other general procedures involving average detail and variation where the employee is responsible for recognition of previously described sets of circumstances and correct choice of action within limits of clearly prescribed standard practices and procedures, requiring the making of contingency decision and the use of some judgment.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS

Corrections would involve back checking by others and would involve some moderate monetary losses. Most work verified or checked either by systems and procedures, or supervision.

Immediate supervision over a unit, section or department where most of the time is spent assigning, reviewing, checking work, eliminating otdinary difficulties, where procedures are standardized. Responsible for supervising more than 10 and seldom over 25 persons.
