What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pricing Manager - CDC position at Caffey Distributing Company Inc?
SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Pricing Manager is to provide administrative support to the sales and chain department by processing contracts related to chain price promotions, new item authorizations, formatting reports, administrative tasks and other functions as outlined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete chain price promotion contracts on a monthly or as needed basis and submit to respective chains per their requirements, but no later than thirty days prior to the start of any price promotion.
Responsible for all issues related to the communication of pricing to customers including, but not limited to, contracts, price lists, promotional price lists, price changes, and new item set up and authorizations.
Maintain a current master calendar of all pricing by supplier, brand, and package and communicate changes timely as they occur.
Maintain and communicate ad feature tracking, chain alert information
Responsible for fully training back-ups and maintaining training during time away from the office.
Serve as primary contact for our customers and our sales department for the resolution of pricing discrepancies.
Maintain current product/SKU authorization files for each chain account.
Develop a positive working relationship and rapport with all key chain pricing contacts.
Review, revise and maintain contracts originated and received from chain accounts for verification of accuracy.
Generate monthly promotional/new item sheets for all chain accounts and revisions as needed.
Send out promo information, front line changes and new item information according to the policies of each chain.
Make sure information is sent to accounts correctly. Work to ensure that information is not missed, dates are accurate, and allowances are correct when it is keyed into system.
Maintain our internal Pricing in VIP to ensure is aligns 100% with our calendar and 100% with our Chain Price Submissions.
Review all internal pricing at least one week prior to activation to ensure accuracy and correctness.
Review weekly chain price surveys, submit any need revisions, and communicate corrections/changes.
Research and address pricing and authorization issues from the daily item rejection report.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of office systems and a general technical field such as accounting, finance, business administration, mechanical, etc. Over 3 years up to and including 5 years of experience in similar roles.
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Diversified duties involving an intensive knowledge of a restricted field, and the use of a wide range of procedures. Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems or transactions and in the determination of action to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Under general supervision, where standard practice enables the employee to proceed alone on regular duties, referring questionable cases to supervisor or others.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS
Probable errors may be serious involving losses such as improper costs, failure to take discounts, overpayment, loss of or holding up production, waste of material, damage to equipment, etc. Most work not directly verified or checked.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
Regular contacts with subordinates and/or other departments, furnishing or obtaining information or reports, discussing controversial subjects and/or supervisory matters requiring tact to avoid friction and obtain cooperation. Contacts outside of the company where improper handling may affect results but where the primary responsibility rests with the next higher level of supervision.

Work with some confidential data where the effect of any disclosure would probably be negligible or where the full import is not apparent in the routines performed.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
