CAG Acceptance is an Arizona-based full service lender specializing in sub-prime and non-prime auto loans. We are looking for a Collections Manager with experience in auto finance to join our team. Sub-prime or buy here pay here collections experience is strongly preferred.
The Collections Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of their collection team. This position manages and executes programs, policies, and systems to minimize delinquency and reduce losses. In addition, this Management role is responsible for hiring, training, developing and motivating a Loss Prevention team to ensure business objectives are met. The position reports to the Director of Collections.

Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for the management of the Collections team
- Manage and execute best practices to minimize delinquency and reduce losses
- Responsible for hiring, training, and developing the Loss Prevention team
- Motivate team members to ensure individual goals are met
- Run reporting to gauge team performance and further develop collections call strategies for process improvement
- Support the development and maintenance of departmental operating procedures, including ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and communicate changes to team members as needed
- Apply policies, procedures, and guidelines appropriately and exercise sound judgment to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies
- Handle escalated calls and disputes and maintain professional phone etiquette skills
- Foster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business objectives by working closely with other associates and members of management
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership position in loss prevention or a related field required
- Experience with consumer lending/subprime financing, buy here pay here loans, or auto title loans
- Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment
- Effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Team player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
