Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and assisting techniques across multiple specialties including general dentistry, pediatrics, and endodontics.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in the creation of dental models.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records systems such as Epic.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications to enhance patient experience.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care across various specialties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with infection control standards in a clinical setting.
- Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
