What are the responsibilities and job description for the Curriculum and Research Coordinator position at Cahaba Medical Care Foundation?
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with curriculum development and coordination for residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners
- Assist with evaluation of curriculum as directed by the Program Director or Sr. Associate Program Director
- Assist with teaching residents about research including coordinating the annual FPIN, serving as the local editor for FPIN submissions, as well as working with residents or medical students with additional research desired
- Assist with additional research opportunities as desired by the PD, Sr.APD
- Assists with IRB submissions
- Assist with development of presentations for state and national meetings related to the residency or medical student curriculum
- Assist with teaching residents a safety / patient ethics / root cause analysis curriculum in conjunction with PD and APD
- Assist with preparation of grant reports, grant submissions, and ACGME / accreditation reports as needed
- Assists Program Coordinator with tasks as needed to maintain accreditation of the residency program
- Help coordinate and monitor residents flipped classroom curriculum and board review curriculum
- Assists other employees of CMC who have researchable ideas or programs
- Meet with residents as needed for disciplinary issues related to curriculum
- Assist with the THC and PCTE grant - evaluation and reporting
- Work with QIO and PD / APD on CLER
- Assist with and coordinate resident QA projects with QIO
- Assist with development of curriculum guides
- Assist with management of resident evaluations
- Assist with resident OSCEs
Serve on various residency and clinic committees
Qualifications
- Doctorate level degree preferred; MPH or equivalent will be considered
- Experience in IRB submissions and in prior research activities
Experience in writing grant submissions / articles / presentations
