Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of clients who may require assistance due to age, illness, or disability. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for by delivering personalized care and companionship.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication reminders and support with prescribed health routines.
- Help clients with mobility and physical exercises to promote independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor and report changes in client’s health or behavior to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess experience or familiarity with various medical environments such as:
- Level I Trauma Center
- Level II Trauma Center
- Inpatient care settings
- Hospital medicine practices
- Medical-surgical units
- Geriatrics care
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) knowledge
- Experience in teaching hospitals or operating rooms (OR)
- Emergency medicine exposure
Candidates should have a genuine passion for caregiving, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while being part of a larger healthcare team. Prior experience in home care or similar settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to ensure caregivers are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
