Purchasing Clerk

Job Summary
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services for the company. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, negotiation, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely acquisition of materials. The Purchasing Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Type: Full-Time
Travel: Limited but occasional travel required

Compensation and Benefits:

• Wage based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
• Develop and maintain a PO system
• Manage the inventory and storage of production, sanitation, equipment, and quality supplies to ensure uninterrupted production or services.
• Monitor and control procurement budgets

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Purchasing Manager, or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
