Position Summary:
Cahuilla Casino is seeking Slot Host representatives to assist with slot machine functions and provide exceptional guest services. The Slot Host, under the direction of the Director of Gaming Operations, is responsible for representing the Casino, assisting Guests, and assisting promotions and events as well as. This position serves as a valuable liaison between Cahuilla Casino's Marketing Department and the Guest.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively promote Club Elevate and its benefits to Cahuilla Casino customers
- Promote all eligible guests to carded, tracked players by directing those guests to Club Elevate
- Distribute information about Cahuilla Casino to guests
- Record information regarding guests, major wins, for marketing department.
- Ensure that guests are provided with change
- Respond to machine malfunctions, perform basic tasks in the machine, and determine if slot technician assistance is needed
- Comply with all internal control procedures
- Held accountable to a high degree of accuracy for transactions conducted
- Provide excellent guest service in a courteous and timely manner
- Provide timely payouts of jackpots for guests and act as a verifier for other Slot Attendants in the event of a jackpot, hand pay or fill
- Assist with the drop as needed.
- Maintain consistent attendance.
- Facilitate the flow of information by attending scheduled departmental meetings as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned by immediate manager/supervisor.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1 year working experience or exposure to a hospitality or direct customer service environment.
- General knowledge of gaming, including slots, video, bingo and card games a plus.
- Computer experience with database.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English/Spanish language, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and work ethics.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations.
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must have basic math skills
- Must meet requirements to qualify for a Cahuilla Casino Gaming License.

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about the Casino floor and exposed to a non-smoke free environment.
Cahuilla Casino Hotel is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace. Any job offer is conditional upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes an extensive background security check.
If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a "reasonable time" agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled. A drug test will be required prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
