The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Operations, the Business Operations Director is responsible for developing and executing operational strategies for knowledge management, learning and development, and product management tooling.
This role combines strategic thinking with process design and optimization expertise to create and implement a knowledge management plan across CAPTG, develop learning programs for product management, and oversee the tooling used by product teams. The focus of this role is to enhance the efficacy and efficiency of the Product Operations team as it seeks to improve product management and product development practices across CAI.
This position requires multitasking, self-direction, collaborative work, inclusivity, and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with matrixed teams, building relationships, consulting on needs, driving change and improvement, and possessing excellent communication and attention to detail.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Lead enterprise-wide change initiatives across the Product Operations team, ensuring process optimization, training programs, and feedback loops.
Partners with Product Operations, Product Readiness / Commercialization, Solution Delivery, as well as other teams internal to CAPTG and across CAI to coordinate efforts in support of Product Operations initiatives
Develop and execute a strategy for knowledge management across CAPTG in partnership with all COE leaders
Manage all training offerings (internally produced and from 3rd parties) which support team member development, excellence in product practices
Own tooling and category management for the product organization, optimize tools usage
Partner with Solution Delivery and Product Readiness and Commercialization team members to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that assess the impact of product operations practices

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years’ experience in a related field; or 14 years’ experience in a related field
5 years’ experience in a management or leadership role
At least 3-5 years process design and improvement experience required
Experience leading cross-functional teams through influence to execute complex work
Experience in enterprise technology organizations or in technology consulting
Strong ability and desire to catalyze behavioral change through knowledge and compelling, thoughtfully curated information
Team player with excellent work habits and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Travel varies, but will be approximately 25%
Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI / NLP tools
Experience in learning and development and/or knowledge management strategy
Background and experience in automotive industry a plus
