Job Description
We are looking for an Assembly Operator in the Fairway, NC area . This position will be full-time and on-site.
What You'll Do
Polish and test fiber optic cables
Assemble and package fiber optic connector components
Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions
Conduct tests as needed for particular operations
Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices
Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
What You'll Need
Required:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum one year manufacturing experience
Experience with manufacturing fiber cables
Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading
Available to work overtime to support production goals as needed
Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be proficient and able to understand written instructions in English language
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
