Job Summary As the Assembly Operator you will perform assigned duties in a warehouse environment.
Job Description
We are looking for an Assembly Operator in Hampton, VA to perform duties related to assembling electronics/mechanical parts . This role is a full-time 6 month contract and on-site . 1st shift is 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday-Friday.
What You'll Do
Follow standardized work instructions for the assembly of components in accordance with top/sub level drawings
Perform duties related to manufacturing of electronics/mechanical parts assembly’s that require good hand eye coordination
Read and comprehending manufacturing drawings and S.O.Ps./ OMS
Ensure high cleanliness standards are maintained during the shift and on the responsible areas
Demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement in all duties
Follow all direction and safety protocols
Use small hand tools
Duties and tasks are varied and semi-routine
What You'll Need
Required
High school Diploma or GED
Preferred:
1 year of relevant experience in a warehouse environment
Experience using small hand tools
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Occasional sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Regularly required to:
Work on powered and non-powered equipment (e.g. forklift, golf cart, pallet jack )
Maneuver packages / material of any weight with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
Work from a secured ladder.
Push, pull squat, bend and reach
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
