Job Summary As an Electonic Technician, you will demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of lab processes and procedures.
Job Description
We are looking for an Electronics Technician in the Winston-Salem. area. This position will be full-time and on-site.
What You'll Do
Capacity to read and interpret industrial standards such as USCAR, SAE, IEC, etc. Monitor tests per specifications, troubleshoot test set-ups, Recognize and understand failure modes, document all pertinent data.
Prepare samples for testing, measuring, wiring, and soldering. Have the mechanical ability to assemble and modify complex test fixtures. (Mechanically Inclined)
Have the electrical ability to understand and troubleshoot DC circuits. Comfortable working with and around current levels up to 1000 Amps.
Perform initial, interim, and final measurements. (i.e. electrical, temperature, sealing integrity checks).
Aptitude to build and grow a “TRUST” relationship with our customers.
Must be able to collaborate closely with team members but also be able to work independently.
Maintain accurate and timely updates on test progression and test schedules. Meet committed completion dates.
Maintain a clean and organize working environment.
Must be able to multitask multiple test programs at one time.
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs or ladders, kneel, crouch, and lift test fixtures up to 35 lbs regularly.
What You'll Need
Required:
AA Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Technology discipline or local equivalent and 2 years of related experience
Experienced with, voltmeters, thermocouples, and standard hand tools.
Capability of creative, analytical, and structured thinking with the ability to execute
Good soldering skills and manual dexterity.
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
