Job Description
We are looking for a 2nd shift Warehouse Associate to be responsible for warehousing activities including the receipt of materials, supplies, freight; and the shipment of finished products. This position will be full-time and on-site.
What You'll Do
Responsible for warehousing activities including the receipt of materials, supplies, freight; and the shipment of finished products, according to company policies and procedures
Ensures materials are received, unloaded and inspected securely and safely from delivery vehicles, compares items and quantities received against freight bills, vendor invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, manifests, or other records, documenting discrepancies; and that materials are delivered to inventory for storage
Maintains records of damaged or defective items; records time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials, including updating the purchase order system for receipts/shipments that are received, cancelled, or back-ordered
Gathers, verifies, scans, labels, packs/wraps, loads items and ensures shipment in a timely manner according to specifications and the applicable transportation method
Ensures the orderly stocking and timely delivery of merchandise and the security and accountability of inventory, enabling materials to be available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules
Participates in cycle counting and material handling activities for the plant to ensure inventory accuracy and maintenance, including completing row audits and investigating variances
Performs regular preventative maintenance to operating equipment as per instructions
Required:
1 year of similar warehouse experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
