Summary/Objective
Under the Direction of the Wealth Management Team, while reporting to the Wealth Advisory Consultant, the Wealth Management Specialist is responsible for serving as a team associate in the Wealth Management department, as well as assisting the Essential Advisory Team. This Associate will assist in serving as a primary point of contact for existing and potential CWA clients for their wealth management needs. This role is ideal for those who wish to develop client advisory skills under the guidance of an experienced Wealth Management Team.

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed based on management’s approval. This is an in-office position with the potential for hybrid flexibility in the future based on management’s approval.

Essential Functions
- Work closely with CWA Investment Operations team to execute day-to-day operational tasks for clients’ portfolios.
- Maintain and follow up with inbound referrals from across the organization to understand and execute various Investment needs.
- Set up and manage client accounts as well as maintain client relationships, serving as a point of contact for Wealth management related inquiries.
- Develop a foundational knowledge of Financial Planning and Wealth Management, with the intent to develop into a Consultative Function and provide Investment Allocation advice.
- Assist with client relationships and develop client service skills, occasionally serving as a point of contact
- Set up and Maintain 401K Accounts, IRAs, and other investment accounts.
- Security analysis, asset allocation, trading, performance reporting/tracking, client billing/reconciliation, and various compliance and operations-related tasks and projects
- Generate client performance reports, calculating returns, and analyzing portfolio performance.
- Respond to and address client inquiries, eventually serving in a consultative capacity.
- Research and provide due diligence on investment strategies as applicable
- Special projects to be determined by Wealth Advisor or Partner
- Over time, you will contribute to decision-making, be responsible for a group of portfolios, monitor portfolio characteristics, and maintain portfolio structure following our process-driven approach
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field required
- 2 Years of Experience within Financial Services; Experience within Investment Operations Preferred
- FINRA Series 65 Certification preferred; must be obtained within 1st year of employment
- Investment advisory experience a plus but not necessary for initial employment
