Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Support individuals with disabilities and autism by implementing care plans tailored to their unique needs.
- Assist with mobility, including lifting and transferring clients safely when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices is essential.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a nursing home or similar setting.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.
