Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to assist with the construction of new fast-food restaurants and renovations across the U.S. Responsibilities include coordinating project plans, bid processes, contractor selection, meeting minutes, and daily paperwork. The role also involves monitoring schedules, preparing contracts, processing payments, managing change orders, lien releases, and closeout documents. The Junior Project Manager will coordinate equipment and material deliveries, liaise with vendors, and conduct occasional site visits, interacting with architects, engineers, general contractors, and building officials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate daily with general contractors, consultants, landlord representatives, and internal departments regarding project updates.
- Monitor construction drawings, plan logs, and bid documents, ensuring familiarity with architectural plans.
- Assist in preparing contracts and processing vendor invoices, contractor payment applications, lien release logs, and closeout documentation.
- Review construction drawings, bid documents, and project specifications to understand project scope.
- Help with prerequisite requirements for project permitting.
- Prepare and record necessary pre-construction notices (e.g., Notice of Commencement, permit applications).
- Assist in soliciting bids from contractors, following up with bidders, and preparing bid analyses.
- Coordinate with utility providers on layouts and related engineering.
- Support the department with various tasks as needed.
- Minimum of three years of experience in restaurant project management.
- Bachelor's degree in construction or project management.
- Knowledge of reading architectural plans and understanding the bid process.
- AutoCAD knowledge is a significant plus.
