Duties
- Develop and execute creative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and storage.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle catering requests and special events, customizing menus as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area.
Experience
- Proven experience in a Chef role or similar position within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including food safety protocols.
- Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
- Familiarity with catering services and event planning is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and customers.
