Position Overview:
Cal-Aurum Industries is seeking a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and optimize facility equipment and infrastructure. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability of our electroplating operations while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
•Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electroplating tanks, rectifiers, pumps, air compressors, exhaust systems, and other facility equipment.
•Preventive Maintenance: Implement and follow a scheduled maintenance plan to minimize equipment downtime.
•Facility Repairs: Maintain plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure.
•Chemical Handling Support: Assist with the safe handling, transfer, and maintenance of chemicals used in plating processes, including ensuring proper ventilation and containment systems are functional.
•Emergency Troubleshooting: Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues to keep production running.
•Compliance & Safety: Follow OSHA and environmental safety regulations, ensuring all maintenance activities support workplace safety and compliance.
•Process Improvements: Work with the production team to identify and implement equipment upgrades and efficiency improvements.
Recommended Qualifications:
Required:
•Has experience with industrial equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or metal finishing environment.
•Is mechanically inclined and can troubleshoot issues with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
•Understands basic plumbing and electrical work.
•Can work independently, take initiative, and stay organized with minimal supervision.
•Is safety-conscious and comfortable working around chemicals (protective gear provided).
•Has a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of a fast-paced environment.
•Can lift 50 lbs and perform hands-on work in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred:
•Prior experience in electroplating, chemical processing, or metal finishing maintenance is a plus.
•Experience with pumps, motors, and rectifiers in an industrial setting.
•Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (e.g., replacing motors, diagnosing wiring issues).
•Welding or fabrication experience is a plus but not required.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
