Accounting Clerk

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. This position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent math skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Duties

• Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with tax preparation and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Utilize accounting software such as Sage, Ceridian, and UltiPro for various accounting functions.
• Support public accounting tasks by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain organized records of financial documents and transactions for easy retrieval.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
• Experience with accounting software is essential; familiarity with Sage, Paychex, Ceridian, or UltiPro is a plus.
• Previous experience in public accounting or tax-related roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
