ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: Currently searching for Part-Time Graduate Student Assistant to be Fashion Tech Camp Counselor during the 2025 Camps in the Apparel Merchandising & Management department, under the supervision of Alejandra Parise.
ABOUT US: As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Enterprises offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Enterprises offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality1500 management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn-by-doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.
The Enterprises also contributes operating support to nearly 1,100 Enterprises and scholarship programs every year, including Bronco Athletics and the Pepsi Scholarship. In addition, the Enterprises administers grants and contracts, contributes to campus security, and supports several university publications. The Enterprises contributes over $1 million annually to Cal Poly Pomona.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
Fashion Tech Camp Counselors will work with faculty during the 2025 Summer Fashion Tech camps in the Apparel Merchandising & Management department.
This position will involve engaging working together in a team of students and faculty to effectively engage with youth during the Fashion Tech Camps. This will include supporting student learning, morning-afternoon-lunch care, classroom management, following safety procedures, and being professional. Will be expected to attend required trainings and meetings to remain updated about program activities.
Must be available Monday through Fridays during the 4 weeks indicated below, in addition to training in early June.
Specific scheduling in the morning/ afternoon shifts will be determined before the camps begin in coordination with faculty. Potential times include: 7:30a - 1:20pm and 1:20 – 5:15pm.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Must an graduate student in any major at Cal Poly Pomona.
· Interested in community engagement and outreach
· Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
These responsibilities will require a satisfactory background check, Live Scan finger printing, and/or specific training.
Preferred
Previously engaged in outreach and community engagement through a course, department, college or campus activity (within their major or campus-wide.).
