ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: The Innovation Incubator is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Clerical/Administrative Student Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the department’s administrative functions, helping to onboard new students, faculty, and staff, and contributing to the successful execution of events and initiatives. You will also provide administrative support to the Director and Program Administrative Analyst, while contributing to key program initiatives such as PolyX, Pop-Up Courses, Micro-Internships, and Digital Credentialing. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where your contributions will directly impact student engagement, program visibility, and the overall success of Innovation Incubator initiatives

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
- Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative operations, including processing paperwork, maintaining accurate records, and organizing departmental documents.
- Student Orientations: Help organize and conduct orientations for new students, providing them with necessary information and resources.
- Program Assistance: Provide direct support to the Director and Administrative Analyst with tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing communications, tracking project timelines, and regularly updating the supervisor on work progress and task completion
- Data Entry: Input and manage data accurately in our systems.
- Document Preparation: Draft, edit, and format documents, reports, and presentation materials in alignment with department standards.
- Event Support: Assist with planning and executing events, workshops, and seminars.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to email inquiries and assisting students, faculty and staff with any questions
- Presentations: Develop and deliver presentations about our programs during class visits to inform and engage students about our offerings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current graduate or undergraduate student at Cal Poly Pomona.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with data entry and database management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on campus 3 days a week

ABOUT US: As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Foundation offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Foundation offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality1500 management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn-by-doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.
