Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher in providing a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
- Assist in the supervision and management of children's behavior
- Collaborate with lead teacher to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs, including those with autism
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, and toileting
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
Skills:
- Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of children with special needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding in working with young children
