What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Development Intern position at Calamos Investments?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops, tests and implements planned enhancements to existing production systems and new systems to support emerging business needs.
- Learns and utilizes development technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, TypeScript, Angular, CSS, and MS SQL.
- Works with development team in conducting data and systems analysis.
- Follows directions from team members to accomplish project objectives.
- Applies Calamos coding standards; follows promotion, testing, and other department standards.
- Ensures overall compliance to agile development processes and software development lifecycle.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or Masters program.
- Evidence of challenging curriculum and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Independent and original thinker.
- Strong level of integrity with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Demonstrated interest within the investment management industry is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Programming experience with any of the following: Azure, ASP.NET, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, DAX and SQL.
For Illinois Applicants only: The expected hourly range for this position is $22 per hour.
