Summary:

The Senior Response Management Associate will work closely with the Director of Response Management and other members of Product Reporting to maximize retention and business development opportunities through the creation of best-in-class proposals and comprehensive due diligence responses. This position will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining content and exploring innovative workflow and AI technologies to enhance efficiency. The Product Reporting function is part of the broader Product Team, which works to develop and execute comprehensive plans to maximize the growth opportunities and profitability for both new and existing products. The position involves collaboration with multiple departments firmwide, including National Accounts, Institutional and Intermediary Sales, Compliance, Legal, Fund Administration, Operations, Portfolio Specialists, and the broader Product Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete due diligence questionnaires (DDQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and requests for information (RFI) about the firm, its processes, and products for prospective and existing strategic partners, consultants, and clients.
  • Respond to both qualitative and quantitative inquiries about the firm and its products, including organizational structure, investment processes, compliance procedures, AUM, portfolio characteristics, performance data, and personnel information, ensuring all responses are accurate and consistent.
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of the (Responsive) content database by creating new responses and updating existing responses while ensuring proper categorization, tagging, and searchability to maximize efficiency.
  • Effectively collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to gather specialized information, verify content accuracy, and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Fulfill reporting requests from clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders while adhering to deadlines, compliance requirements, and firm and department standards for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Research and evaluate process efficiencies through new technologies, including AI tools, automation, workflows, and advanced content management solutions to enhance response quality and team productivity.
  • Proactively communicate with director, team members, and stakeholders regarding progress on reporting requests and projects.
  • Follow and maintain standard operating procedures, including the appropriate archival of information delivered, maintaining support, request records, internal approvals, and changes to responses.
  • Coordinate within the team and other departments to identify and document content, data, and information, and technology needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of financial services experience, preferably in investment management or institutional investment consulting.
  • Broad investment and industry knowledge, with an understanding of institutional and intermediary clients, investment strategies, and investment vehicles.
  • Previous experience completing RFP, RFI, and DDQ requests, maintaining institutional consultant databases, or managing written content strongly preferred.

Technical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with aptitude to quickly learn new applications. Knowledge of SharePoint a plus.
  • Prior experience with RFP workflow or proposal software preferred. Responsive experience a plus.
  • Experience with or interest in new technologies, including AI-assisted content management and workflow automation tools.

For Illinois only: The expected annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000.  The selected candidate salary is based on numerous factors such as, but not limited to work experience, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, skill level, and geographic location. This is the current estimate of the base salary range intended for this role at the time of this posting. The base salary range may be modified in the future.
