Summary:
The VP, Senior Wealth Advisor is the primary contact for Calamos Wealth Management clients and liaison to the Portfolio Management team. This role coordinates all Wealth Management services, focusing on building long-term, trusting relationships with clients and their advisors, while also seeking new client opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Develop and maintain HNW opportunities with prospects and client's advisors (e.g., attorneys, CPAs)
- Attend seminars and client functions to promote firm capabilities
- Generate new ideas for proactive business development in the high-net-worth space
- Participate in industry groups and non-profit events to expand networking opportunities
Investment Communication and Strategy
- Proactively communicate Calamos' market outlook and strategy expectations
- Prepare and present investment recommendations
- Articulate the firm's investment philosophy and process to potential and existing clients
- Spend approximately 50% of time traveling to visit clients and prospects
Client Relationship Management
- Provide superior communication and service to clients, ensuring trust and retention
- Cultivate and manage long-term professional relationships with clients
- Contribute to asset growth through client retention and accumulation of additional assets
- Evaluate and document each client's investment objectives, goals, and risk tolerance
- Develop and monitor asset allocation, financial strategies, and investment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Certifications
Bachelor's degree required in business or related discipline; MBA preferred
Series 65 required; CFP or other related certification preferred
Experience and Skills
- 20 years investment industry experience, focusing on high-net-worth marketplace
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent client service aptitude and presentation skills
- Comprehensive industry and product knowledge
- Ability to counsel sophisticated investors in all areas of high-net-worth services
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to learn new tasks quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CRM, and client account database applications.
For Illinois Applicants only: The expected annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. The selected candidate salary is based on numerous factors such as, but not limited to work experience, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, skill level, and geographic location. This is the current estimate of the base salary range intended for this role at the time of this posting. The base salary range may be modified in the future. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
