Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, securing, maintaining, and monitoring the core network infrastructure and SDWAN sites across our enterprise. You will provide technical expertise for network troubleshooting, new projects, acquisitions, and infrastructure build-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and manage data center network infrastructure, including Arista, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet SD-WAN solutions.
- Monitor and optimize network performance across more than 700 sites using SolarWinds.
- Apply security patches, firmware updates, and maintain both software and hardware components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues for SDWAN sites, corporate offices, clubs, remote offices, and data centers.
- Collaborate with System Administrators and development teams on network-related issues, including server communication, ACLs, VLANs, etc.
- Create and manage Palo Alto firewall policies based on user requests and ensure proper access control.
- Set up and maintain VPN tunnels and provide remote VPN support for users via FortiClient.
- Communicate network outages and coordinate with relevant teams and management for resolution.
- Perform on-site visits to data centers for network maintenance and upgrades.
- Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation for ongoing support.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls, with a focus on Palo Alto and Fortinet.
- Experience in high-availability, 24/7 environments.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet switches in a data center environment.
- 1-2 years of experience with hardware-based IPS/IDS, next-generation firewalls, or equivalent network security concepts.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, and Cisco StackWise Virtual.
- Experience working with Arista switches is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle complex network troubleshooting and ensure optimal performance across a diverse set of technologies.
