JOB DETAILS:
Position: Sr. Java (back end) Developer
JOB REF#: 43315
Duration: 12 Months (Contract to Hire)
Location: ONSITE - Plano, TX 75024
Pay Rate: OPEN/Market Rate (W2 ONLY)
This role is 100% ONSITE (Must be LOCAL or willing to RELOCATE at your own expense)
Sr. Java Back-end Developer will part of the new project, being a core integral part of the Financial Services team, responsible for all phases of the life-cycle of feature delivery, including coding, unit testing, functional testing, and deployment to production. Consultants will have experienced software developers with a robust background in Java and the Spring Framework. Proficiency in relational databases is essential, along with cloud experience, preferably with AWS. You will be instrumental in developing the next generation of Financial Services' core platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• End to end life-cycle features, including coding, unit/functional testing, and deployment to production.
• Design, develop and maintain Java applications
• Write well designed, testable and efficient code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the best practices for software development
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
** Will be required to pass a technical coding test, using Java, Cloud Services and Relational DB (SQL Server/NoSQL) **
** Must be LOCAL or willing to relocate at your own expense, able to work onsite day 1**
** Must be authorized to work as W2 Employee, NO C2C or INCs will be accepted**
TECHNICAL EXPERTIES/EXPERIENCE:
• Java back-end Developer (latest versions on Java) – 7 years
• Spring Framework (Spring Boot) – 5 years
• Cloud experience – 2 years (AWS preferred) with any cloud services
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL relational databases
• Experience designing and building event based MicroServices
• Experience using Junit for testing
• Excellent communication skills
• Education: Bachelor's Degree
DESIRED:
• Experience building and deploying cloud native apps – preferably AWS.
• Experience with Domain Driven Design
• Strong design pattern fundamentals
• Experience in Financial Services industry
