Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Lead Networking Technical Architect with expert-level experience in Arista, Palo Alto Networks, data center networking to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our high-performance trading infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-latency financial networks, ensuring our systems meet the demanding requirements of high-frequency trading (HFT) and other mission-critical financial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and optimize high-performance, low-latency network infrastructure for financial applications, including high-frequency trading and real-time data processing.
Design, implement, and manage Arista-based data center networks with a focus on ultra-low-latency and high availability.
Deploy and secure next-generation firewall solutions using Palo Alto Networks to ensure robust security and compliance.
Integrate and optimize InfiniBand networking for high-performance computing (HPC) and trading environments.
Collaborate with financial technology teams to ensure network infrastructure aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Lead networking architecture projects, providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers.
Develop and enforce best practices for network automation, monitoring, and incident response.
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in financial networking, security, and performance optimization.
Required Qualifications:
10 years of experience in designing and managing large-scale data center networks in the financial industry.
Expert-level knowledge of Arista Networks, including EOS, CloudVision, and ultra-low-latency architectures.
Deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls, security policies, and threat prevention strategies.
DC Spine/Leaf architecture with Advanced Layer 3 and VXLAN skillsets/experience.
In-depth understanding of financial trading infrastructure, market data distribution, and exchange connectivity.
Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, multicast, and other advanced networking protocols.
Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud strategies.
Excellent troubleshooting skills in high-stakes, real-time environments.
Ability to lead and mentor teams, as well as collaborate with traders, developers, and business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with low-latency tuning for trading systems.
Knowledge of FIX protocol and financial market infrastructure.
Certifications such as Arista ACE, Palo Alto PCNSE, CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center), or similar.
