Position:Linux Systems Administrator
JOB REF#:
Duration:6 Months (Contract)
Location:REMOTE - Denver, CO 80206
Pay Rate:$40.00 per hour/W2
This role is 100% REMOTE, but you MUST reside locally (Denver, CO) to be considered (Non-local candidates will NOT be considered).
HOURS: MON-FRI 8am - 5pm (CST)
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Unix Systems Administration tasks on large-scale Linux systems in a multi-vendor, high performance computing environment.
Assist in performing CCCS Linux installation, including project management.
Support the administration for the EMC VNX SAN and Avamar/Data Domain systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
2 years of experience as Unix Systems Administrator, supporting LINUX servers in an enterprise environment
Experience in the installation and maintenance of operating systems software and support utilities, including Linux process accounting, security software, and script programming
Experience in managing EMC Storage and backup solutions.
Familiarity with both TCP/IP and high-speed proprietary interconnects.
Proficiency in patching and building Linux kernels.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Previous experience with the deployment and management of large-scale Redhat Linux environments.
Red Hat Linux engineer certified (RHCE).
Experience with virtualization tools.
Experience with VMWare, Avamar/Data Domain, and/or Nagios
