Summary
Calavo Growers, Inc. (Nasdaq : CVGW) is a global food leader providing quality produce, primarily avocados, and

merchandisers, food distributors and wholesalers worldwide. Calavo is headquartered in Santa Paula, CA with
processing plants and packing facilities throughout the US and Mexico.
The Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) will be responsible for leading Calavo’s accounting and financial reporting
function, including related controls, processes, and systems. The position also will lead the accounts receivable
and payable functions as well as payroll. The CAO will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will
be an integral member of the finance and accounting (F&A) leadership team, as well as an integral member of
leadership within Calavo broadly. The CAO will work closely with other members of the F&A team, including the
CFO-Mexico, Sr. Director FP&A, and VP Internal Audit, and their respective teams. Additionally, the CAO will
interact regularly with other members of the company’s management and board of directors. The CAO will be the
primary point of contact with the company’s external auditors and will interact regularly with the company’s tax
and legal advisors.
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensuring financial statement integrity in accordance with GAAP by implementing and maintaining high standards
of performance for closing and reporting processes
reporting cycle times by introducing process efficiencies
reporting (SOX) and other corporate functions in partnership with Internal Audit
