Position Overview
The Office of General Counsel (OGC) seeks a proven legal services professional with a strong background and extensive experience managing and supporting a range of legal services functions related to process development, project management, research, contract administration, and department file maintenance. This position also will support OGC’s work with the Board of Trustees, assist with budget development and administration, and coordinate other important functions of the office. The Legal Services Coordinator reports to the General Counsel and is responsible for overseeing a range of complex activities related to internal process development and project management. This includes research, organizational planning, overseeing special projects, and developing internal policies and processes for the office. The Legal Services Coordinator also supports the office’s work and communications with the Executive leadership and Board of Trustees, and manages external communications under the supervision of General Counsel or designee, including the Deputy General Counsel. Additionally, this position participates in the development of OGC’s knowledge database and resources, assists with updating of policies and procedures, and collaborates with staff in various departments on projects for the entire college. Other responsibilities include preparing and managing contracts; identifying opportunities for improving efficiency; and monitoring, tracking and planning budgets. The Legal Services Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of OGC and supporting the office’s mission of providing competent, timely legal advice and guidance to the college. The Legal Services Coordinator will support and oversee other administrative and operational functions of OGC, as assigned.
