Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers.
- Move materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Build and assemble pallets or containers for shipping.
- Use a warehouse management system to track inventory and locate materials.
- Follow safety guidelines and OSHA regulations while performing duties.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
