CALCULEX is a leader in developing high tech solutions for the acquisition, recording, and processing of data often supporting developmental and operational test of military and commercial airborne systems. CALCULEX is comprised of a small team of highly trained, skilled and motivated Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, FPGA Code Designers, Firmware and Software Programmers, and Technicians.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Highly experienced in embedded systems design, documentation, and testing.
- Excels at architecting embedded systems.
- Excels at creating and managing requirements and test documents.
- 5 years’ experience with Linux, various RTOS and U Boot.
- 2 years’ experience writing and editing low-level drivers and board-support packages.
- 5 years’ experience with system on chip-based design, such as with Cyclone, Stratix 10, Zynq/Ultra Scale Plus or Arria 10.
- Familiarity with ARM Processors, such as A9, A5 and A53
- Experienced with Ethernet communications, 10GbE or faster.
- Experienced with PCIe.
- Experienced in designing ruggedized airborne recorders a plus.
- Experienced with video CODEX a plus.
- Experienced with requirements management tools such as DOORS and Jama a plus.
- Familiar with RTCA DO-178.
- Experienced with the Scrum development process or equivalent spiral development models.
- Architect and lead the design effort of new embedded systems.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and correct deficiencies in legacy code.
- Create and maintain documents in support of the software design in compliance with DO-178.
- Practice and evangelize strong configuration management and version control.
- Lead the exercise of spiral software development.
- Mentor junior software engineers and cross-functional team members with best software design practices.
- Customer on-site support as necessary.
