The Carpenter will be responsible for completing assigned projects throughout the Casino premises to ensure that our venue is up to standards in safety. In addition, the Carpenter will collaborate with the Maintenance and Facilities Department to maintain and improve the appearance of our casino. FUNCTION
Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Constructs and repairs structural work in facility working from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions :
- Builds, repairs, and installs counters of Formica, Corian, or granite, cabinets, doors, shelves, handles and hinges, benches, restroom partitions, floors, doors including handles, latches and closures, building framework, and trim, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
- Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
- Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings. Drywall repair and installation. Build cabinets and other wooden structures in carpenter shop, using woodworking machines, such as saws, shaper, and jointer
- Performs preventative maintenance and repair maintenance to the general structure aspects of all property buildings.
- Performs other tasks that require ability for precise measurement, design and assembly of construction.
- Required to operate a company vehicle and / or equipment that requires a valid Driver’s License.
- Perform small property construction projects.
- Assist all other trades in Facilities when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
