What you will do:
The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for compliance with all aspects of the Nutrition Services Department, including code compliance, sanitation and infection control, meal preparation and service, dining experience, purchasing systems budgetary performance and residents' nutritional status. The CDM evaluates and directs plans for improvement in each aspect, assists in planning, organization and enforcing systems to meet facility stands and follows all facility policies and procedures. The Dietary Manager oversees all kitchen staff.
Must have:
- Current unencumbered license to practice as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) in the state of Washington
- Ability to taste and smell food in order to determine quality and palatability
- Able to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Posses special interest in and a positive attitude about working with long term care residents and the elderly population
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Meets health requirements as required by law
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
