Position Summary:
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery, measuring product, and adjusting tool to maintain product specifications.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
· Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubricating
· Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges.
· Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product specifications
· Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Willing to learn set up and operation of CNC machines
· Strong attention to detail.
· 2 years of experience preferred as a CNC Operator using lathes or mills.
· Experience preferred in operating Fanuc and Mazak controlled CNC machines.
· Knowledge of code types preferred, including G/M code,
· Ability to read or learn to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
Physical requirements/Working conditions:
· Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
· Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
· Working around moving machinery/heavy equipment.
· Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50 pounds regularly.
· Traverse slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
· High level of eye to hand coordination.
· Exposure to excessive, continuous noise.
· Must be able to work in cold environments and on concrete floors.
Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant field is recommended.
· Experience preferred operating CNC machinery and tooling and measurement tools.
