Position Summary:

The Swiss turning setup operator is a demanding technical position requiring experience setting up Swiss-style lathes, modifying programs as necessary, and maintaining production schedules. Knowledge of Swiss equipment, tools, and processes is required. Programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Set up and prove out CNC programs and processes.

· Create and document setup instructions.

· Develop, document, and train operators in inspection requirements.

· Monitor tool wear and recommend tool change times or maintenance to prevent defects and ensure product quality.

· Troubleshoot and resolve CNC machine and program-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

· Continuously identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

· Keep comprehensive records of changes and revisions to facilitate future modifications.

· Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment.

· Ensure that CNC machines are maintained and operated safely and efficiently.
