This role is responsible for database security, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and data integrity while also supporting business processes, reporting, and system improvements.

Duties And Responsibilities
Oracle Database Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (Oracle Fusion Cloud).
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover strategies (e.g., RMAN, Data Guard).
- Optimize database storage, indexing, and partitions for peak performance.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and performance tuning strategies.
- Monitor database health, resolve performance bottlenecks, and automate alerts.
- Maintain data integrity, security policies, and access controls.
- Develop and enforce backup and recovery processes to prevent data loss.
- Optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data movement.
- Support data migrations and integrations between Oracle databases and other enterprise systems.
- Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other tools to monitor performance.
- Tune SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures to improve efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve slow queries, deadlocks, and resource utilization issues.
- Collaborate with IT, application, and business teams to ensure smooth database operations.
- Automate database maintenance, monitoring, and reporting tasks.
- Assist in designing and improving data models, workflows, and reporting solutions.
- Provide database support for ERP, BI, and analytics teams.
- Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain data security.

- Maintain 99.9% uptime for critical Oracle databases.
- Improve query execution times by 20% to 50% through performance tuning.
- Ensure 100% compliance with data security policies and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits with zero critical security incidents.
- Automate 30% to 70% of manual database maintenance and monitoring tasks.
- Optimize data processing and reporting speed by 10% to 50%.
- Resolve critical database issues within SLA-defined timelines (e.g., within 4 hours).
- Reduce recurring database-related incidents by 30% to 40% through proactive monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Cloud Certification.
- 7 years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
- Expertise in Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c administration.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), and PaaS/SaaS models.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and indexing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Experience with BI tools, data warehousing, and analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).
