Installation Technician

Responsible for preparing, delivering, installing, and removing commercial laundry equipment, along with including payment system technology and kiosks. Our Installation Technicians are also trained to troubleshoot, repair, and customize both our laundry machines and payment technology platforms. The ideal candidate is someone who finds satisfaction in hands-on work and is enthusiastic about acquiring repair and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Installation and Removal: Perform the installation and removal of commercial laundry machines at client locations. This entails loading and unloading machines onto a company truck, maneuvering machines on-site, and conducting installations and tests to verify proper functionality. You play a significant role in creating the first impression!
• Machine Preparation: Prepare machines and payment kiosks for installation. This includes unboxing machines, connecting payment technology, cleaning, and testing machines, gathering installation materials (venting, clamps, hoses, etc.), and supporting materials such as signage. Proper preparation makes the installation that much smoother!
• Warehouse: Responsible for receiving and unloading vendor shipments (appliances, parts, and materials), and assisting with scraping unsalvageable appliances, parts, and materials. Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse. Treat it like it was your warehouse!
• Customer Service: Interact with customers and clients in a professional and friendly manner providing updates on the status of the installation and any location maintenance concerns. Offering to demonstrate how to operate the payment system/kiosk and/or the machines installed. Informed and educated customers build relationships!
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the installation, identifying/verifying the location, position and asset tag information of the machines and payment systems installed. Accuracy of the data is important!
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and appliances. Ensure personal safety and safety procedures are followed while working in the warehouse. Your wellbeing is important!
• Technology and Mobile Technology: Use configuration and monitoring tools to set up or reprogram machines to connect to a payment kiosk. As well as using a smartphone or tablet to access these tools, and other applications used throughout the workday. Technology is becoming more and more prevalent in the commercial laundry business!
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Must have a clean driving record with no major violations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Specific experience with washers and dryers and/or electrical, plumbing, natural gas, and venting a plus.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• Professional appearance, attendance and punctuality required.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
• Ability to walk flights of stairs, and to lift, push, and pull machines weighing up to 250 lbs. with proper equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
